Understanding Folders and Flows
In the realm of chatbot design, two essential elements stand out: Folders and Flows.
1. Folders
Folders serve as your organization's backbone, helping you categorize and manage flows efficiently. They function like containers, ensuring that your chatbot content stays well-organized. These folders are your chatbot's best friends, keeping everything neat.
2. Flows
Flows are where the real magic happens. They represent the various types of messages your chatbot can send to users. Think of them as different flavors of chat.
Always keep in mind that every chatbot has a vital Basic Folder, much like the chatbot's core. You can't remove it, and it should always contain something. This is how your chatbot determines when to send messages.
Remember, creating a custom welcome message and default reply is essential for your chatbot to function correctly. These elements are the keys to success!
Basic Folder
Two fundamental message types that are vital to your chatbot's functionality are the
welcome message and default reply.
- Welcome Message:
The welcome message is the first message that somebody will receive from your Business when they start the conversation for the first time or greet you.
In WhatsApp, users can start conversations from anywhere, so they may not receive a welcome message.
- Default Reply:
When the user asks the bot something it hasn't been trained to handle yet, it will respond with a default message. This default flow is triggered when the chatbot cannot understand the user's input.
Creating a new folder
To create a new folder, navigate to the last folder on your flow builder click the + Add folder button then select Add folder.
Renaming folder
All folders can be renamed. To change a folder's name, just click on the folder name. 📂🖊️
Note: Only you can see the names of your folders and flows, as they are your private organizational tools. The names must be unique not duplicated, and not exceed 50 characters.
Actions Overview
Click the button with 3 dots to open the context menu that allows you to perform actions with your Flows.
Rearrange folder
If you want to move a folder in front of or behind another folder, it's as easy as clicking on the 3 dots. Just drag the folder while holding your right mouse or touchpad button. When it comes to your target place, release the button, and you're done! 📁🚀
Duplicate Folder
You can use the "Copy to the same bot" feature to create a duplicate of a folder within the same bot.
Remember, This feature allows you to copy Actions, Custom User Attributes, and Messages & connected flows that are attached to the current one using the Go-To flow.
Clone to another bot
This feature allows you to copy the folder to another bot you manage. Use the context menu to clone the folder to your other connected to Hulul.
At this moment, the Copy to Another bot feature doesn't support copying Actions, Custom User Attributes, and Messages & connected flows that are attached to the current one using the Go-To flow.
Note: Folders and flow names must be unique and not duplicated in the other bot. They must also be under 50 characters in length.
Delete Folder
This feature allows you to delete the folder completely.
Remember to disconnect the flows linked to other flows in the bot before deleting them. This includes links created through user input, 'Go to Flow' actions, buttons, or quick replies.
